Accompanied by official volcanological guides, this safe adventure takes you to the summit area around 3000m.
SOUTH SIDE: The tour begins at Refuge Sapienza (1900m), with a cable car ride to 2500m. From there, hike to 3000m (variable), exploring extinct craters, fumarole activity, a lava tunnel, and the stunning Bove Valley. The excursion includes a 500m ascent, covering 7 km over 5 hours. Difficulty level: EE (hiker).
NORTH SIDE:A 4×4 ride takes you to 2960 meters, followed by a 3km hike up volcanic terrain to the Central Crater at 3300 meters. At the summit, enjoy breathtaking views. The 2km descent follows the same path, ending with an easy walk through soft volcanic channels. The tour ends with a 4×4 return to Piano Provenzana from 2825 meters. Difficulty level: EE (hiker).

Mountain gear, including shoes, poles, and a helmet, is provided. The tour may be adjusted or canceled for safety reasons due to volcanic activity or weather conditions. Not suitable for those with asthma or cardiovascular issues, or those not physically prepared for a challenging trek.
