Etna Summit Experience by 4×4

This high-altitude Etna experience starts from Piano Provenzana and reaches the upper slopes of the volcano by 4×4 off-road vehicles, allowing you to explore Mount Etna with minimal physical effort. Traveling from about 1,800 m up to nearly 2,900 m, you’ll cross impressive lava fields and volcanic sands along a striking mountain track.

From the Pizzi Deneri volcanological observatory, the tour continues with short and easy walks, not demanding hikes, making the experience suitable for a wide range of participants. These gentle walks lead to panoramic viewpoints surrounded by volcanic scoria and lava bombs. Weather permitting, you’ll enjoy spectacular views over the Valle del Leone, Valle del Bove, and the Northeast and Southeast craters.

Throughout the entire experience, you’ll be assisted from start to finish by a licensed volcanological guide, who will explain Etna’s activity and landscapes in an engaging way.
