DESCRIPTION
The entire apartment is close to main important monuments of the city of Catania, from public services, restaurants, bars and the nightlife of Catania.
It can accommodate up to 7 people, ideal for families or groups of friends. If you are in smart working no problem! You will find a comfortable desk with lamp and chair and of course free Wi-Fi throughout the house. USB sockets in the kitchen to charge your mobile devices. Smart TV in every room.
The apartment has been completely renovated recently (2021) and consists of: two bedrooms, one with double bed and balcony, a room with two single beds with window. Both with wardrobes, hangers and lamps. A lounge with a comfortable double sofa bed and the balcony. It is also possible to add 1 extra bed and extend the number of seats up to 7.
The accommodation is located in a property on the 6th floor, equipped with elevator and stairs.
THE ACCOMODATION
The kitchen is equipped with every comfort: tables, cookware, furnishings, table ware, dishes and glasses for children, oven, fridge and freezer. At your disposal you will have a laundry where you will find the washing machine, iron and an extra bath with toilet and sink. The bathroom in the house, however, consists of a shower, bidet and all the necessary accessories for your stay including shower towels and towels. From the balcony you can admire the port and the domes of baroque Catania, the old district, the spectacular sunsets.
Particular attention is paid to safety and prevention. The apartment is equipped with smoke detector and carbon monoxide, fire extinguisher, medical box, disinfectant gel and masks.
THE AREA
You will be a short walk from the historic market of Catania “a fera o luni”, the famous Piazza Stesicoro and the Roman amphitheater (currently under restoration). The best bars in Catania where you can enjoy the typical Sicilian street food: the “tavola calda”. Walking through the narrow streets and the magnificent Via Etnea you will reach the Duomo, where you can admire the Baroque Cathedral and the symbol of the city of Catania: the elephant or “liotru”. From here to the colorful fish market is a moment, as well as the Ursino Castle, the Greek-Roman theater, the Benedictine monastery (the second largest in Europe) and in the heart of the nightlife of Catania.
From our apartment you can experience the city on foot. We are 400 m from the bus stop, including the Alibus, the airport shuttle, the metro stop “Stesicoro” and the train station is just 10 minutes walk as well as the regional bus stations. Nearby you will find supermarkets, restaurants, shops, post office, bank and all the services you need to live a stay without worries. If you have a car, you can park on the road for a fee or in private parking lots nearby. If you don’t have your own car, you can enjoy bike sharing and electric scooters simply by downloading the app to your phone.
From Catania it is possible to organize guided excursions on Etna with pick-up directly from the accommodation, in small groups or private.
